Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) – HSE approved

This course is ideal for smaller workplaces that present few health and safety risks.Nominated emergency first aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive one day first aid should attend this course.

Course Syllabus:

Health and safety (first aid) regulations.
Managing an incident.
The priorities of first aid.
Treatment of an unconscious casualty.
Resuscitation.
Shock.
Choking.
Seizures.
Bleeding.
Common workplace injuries.

Course Duration
1 day

Assessment and Certification
On completion of this course, all delegates will be able to confidently demonstrate all areas of this courses syllabus. Throughout the course our instructors will use simulated incidents using resuscitation manikins. All candidates will be issued with a certificate of attendance upon successful completion of this course. There is no formal examination at the end of the course; however the instructor will provide continuous assessment throughout the course.
